Miami Zoo helping invasive species problem

Florida is doing something good to address the problem of releasing exotic pets into the wild. The Miami Zoo is now offering amnesty for exotic pets, no questions asked. Vets can also insert reptiles with microchips so they can be found if they get lost. I'm not a fan of zoos, but this is a good move. Exotic animals threaten habitat for native wildlife. One current major problem in Florida is pythons in the Everglades.
