Dead Birds at DC Metro Stations

At least 60 birds were found dead near six DC Metro stations from ingesting poison.  A Metro contractor spread commercial pest poison at the wrong time of day and failed to clean up the resulting dead birds.  The poison was meant for pigeons, but most of the dead birds were sparrows and starlings.  Following reports from the public, the FBI investigated and found dead birds at Greenbelt, Anacostia, Naylor Road, Branch Avenue, Rhode Island Avenue, and Takoma Metro stations.
