Trip leaders Dhananjaya Katju and Denise Ryan will lead a field trip on August 18th to Huntley Meadows, Fairfax, Virginia, just outside of Alexandria, VA.

This is a wonderful wetlands with a long boardwalk and observation tower. We should be able to get excellent views of herons, egrets, and waterfowl.

Directions: From Capital Beltway (I-495) take U.S. 1 south 3.2 miles to Lockheed Bld. Turn right and go .6 miles to Harrison Lane. Turn left into the park.
