From the National Wildlife Federation [1]:

Come join NWF staff, friends and family in a River Restoration day Saturday, March 31st from 10:30 am to 3:00 pm to make a difference for wildlife in the Chesapeake Bay Watershed.

You and your family and friends are invited to volunteer along side NWF affiliates as part of the service project for NWF’s Annual meeting. This year’s project is restoring the Anacostia River and its watershed.

You will be working with Earth Conservation Corps and Anacostia Watershed Society at either Anacostia Park (Washington, DC); Little Paint Branch Park (Hyattsville, MD) or Magruders Park (Beltsville, MD).
NWF will provide tools, gloves, t-shirts, lunch and celebration event at the end of the day.

You need to bring sunscreen, work clothes and a friend.

You can meet us at the sites or take the bus from the Grand Hyatt Hotel (1000 H Street, NW) at 10:00 am.

Please RSVP to Eliza Russell, Director of Education at Russell@nwf.org or 703-438-6439 if you would like to attend.

We look forward to seeing you there on the 31st.
